About

My Start

As early as I can remember, I’ve been drawn to creativity. Whether it was drawing, painting, or finding new ways to bring an idea to life, making things has always felt like a natural part of who I am.

In high school, my art teacher took me under his wing and inspired me to consider making art my career. But with so many interests, I could never quite settle on just one area. I wanted to explore, learn, and see where that path would take me.

That journey eventually led me to Columbia College in the mid-’90s, where I took my first design class. Something just clicked. I found a place where creativity, problem-solving, and visual storytelling could come together—and I’ve been hooked ever since.

Animation and interactivity became my first loves, but in the early 2000s, I also found my way behind the camera. I haven’t stopped shooting since.

Photography

Over the years, photography has become a deep and lasting passion. I love how a camera allows me to slow down, notice the details, and capture a moment, a feeling, or a story that might otherwise pass by unnoticed. More than anything, it has given me another way to see and understand the world around me.

Whether I’m designing, photographing, or experimenting with a new idea, I’m happiest when I’m making something. That desire to explore, learn, and bring ideas to life is what continues to inspire me.

Design

My design career began in advertising and marketing before evolving into digital design and, for the past 15 years, educational design. Along the way, I’ve had the opportunity to lead creative teams, collaborate with talented people, and create award-winning work across photography and educational design.

But some of the work I’m most proud of isn’t necessarily the work that has won awards. It’s the work that has helped make learning more engaging, meaningful, and accessible for children. Knowing that something I helped create can spark curiosity, make a concept easier to understand, or simply make learning a little more enjoyable is incredibly rewarding.

Music Creations

I also own a small DJ, sound and lighting company called Music Creations. I specialize in creating personalized sound and lighting experiences for private and corporate events.

Music has always been another creative outlet for me. I love bringing together the right music, lighting and atmosphere to fit the personality of an event and make it feel special. Every event is different, and I enjoy working with people to create something that feels personal to them and gives their guests an experience they will remember.
